I am faulted yet strive to have control over my paintings and create completeness distinct from my limitations as the creator. My paintings inherently teeter between balancing refined technique and being the product of a human shaking hand.

It’s important to me that the paintings have life, their own self-expressive character. The images are blends of the familiar but you can’t pinpoint it back to a single origin. It’s a plant or some organic, even alien shape. Let the painting define itself referencing something unique you glimpsed. - C. DAM
