All works are part of an extended series of flight patterns. Mainly untitled, this series has evolved from initial explorations on clay tablets to large drawings on paper combining the use of silkscreen, graphite, paint and ink. The flight patterns have interested me for years. The interest is in two parts. Firstly, a focus on the simple effortless elegance; and secondly, the beautiful pattern structures that begin to function as a type of reflecting pool. The progression of these drawings sets the stage for continued exploration of other ‘flight’ patterns. Evoking a reference to other living patterns, the series continues… – E. Hollender
