In Magic, punk rock fetish model Jax shares stories from her career as a horse whisperer. She illuminates her nearly ten years spent with Magic, her first mare, as well as several other horses she rescued and rehabilitated. Through carefully controlled lighting and color, this piece references the history of Western portraiture and religious iconography as Jax humbly and timidly recounts her own saintly actions.
