REACTIVE SCULPTURE (2005)

Mark Andreas has dubbed his kinetic art, “Reactive Sculptures” after the sculptures' dramatic, blunt and powerful movements stimulated by natural forces. Implicitly dangerous, Andreas choreographs his massive metal or wood contraptions into spontaneous performances. Environmental decay, dipping temperature and change in the state of matter are each an autocatalysis, setting Andreas’ sculpture into a frenzy.
