Gallery 1 & 3: "Systematic Sales" installations by Brose Partington |
![]() |
In December '06, Brose Partington debuted with Dam, Stuhltrager to rave reviews. In following months, this 28yr old newcomer from Indianapolis was chosen to exhibit in Lincoln Center Plaza (NYC) during pivotal Armory time. Partington’s 150 ft public installation, "Tide", transformed Lincoln Center Plaza with 18 gear box motors and 40 yards of black rip stop nylon fabric. The installation went on to follow the art world, traveling to Los Angeles in April, Basel in June and Istanbul in November. This June "Tide" travels to Russia. With international attention awaiting his next move, Brose Partington finally comes home to his gallery in Brooklyn to unveil two new installations inspired by consumerism and "market trends". Gallery 2: "Bad Behavior" sculpture & infomercials by Lynda Abraham |
Lynda Abraham has exhibited at venues including Dam Stuhltrager, the Bronx Museum, Exit Art, and the International Contemporary Art Fair (Brussels, Belgium). She has been reviewed in The Village Voice, Cover Magazine, The Brooklyn Rail, The New York Press and Addict Magazine Much like a late nite ad pitching an exercise tool or positive thinking program- Abraham's sculptures are “correctional devices” accompanied by videos that appeal to our self-help culture. Abraham's contraptions invert the status quo and embolden the indefensible. (more on L.Abraham) |
